Intensive French Course - 7 students max. per class - 26 French lessons per week (each lesson 45 minutes): 1 week**: USD 866. 2 weeks: USD 1,045. 3 weeks: USD 1,430. 4 weeks: USD 1,935. Extra wks: USD 440. LONG TERM: 12 wks: USD 4,930.

** 1 Week courses are not available between 5 July and 29 August. One week course also includes 3 private lessons in addition to group schedule !

Long Term 12 week course starts on 6 January, 30 March*, 29 June or 21 September 2008. Dates listed are ARRIVAL dates, courses start on Monday. (30 March is a special 13 week course offered at the 12 week price!)

One-to-One French Lessons: Start any Monday of the year. Prices 2008 and 2009: 15 French lessons per week: USD 1,420 per week. 20 French lessons per week: USD 1,895 per week. 25 French lessons per week: USD 2,370 per week.

Accommodations 2008 and 2009:

Host Family: (Private room, half board) 1st week: USD 300. Additional weeks: USD 245 each.

Apartments: Fully equipped and comfortable studio or one-bedroom apartment (telephone, television, etc.). Weekly maid and linen service is included. Laundry facilities are also available. All studios and apartments are located in the centre of Tours within walking distance of CLE. Furnished studio apartments: USD 1485 per month. One Bedroom apartments: USD 2045 per month.

Bed & Breakfast in a Chateau: (outside of town!) Single room, private bathroom. One week: USD 1098. Additional weeks: USD 1045.

Hotels also available upon request. Prices vary depending on size and location.

Activities

A tour is provided for students arriving at the beginning of a regular session, including a free guided tour of the city, its monuments and historical restorations. In addition, CLE organizes weekly visits to the famous chateaux of the Loire Valley: Chambord, Chenonceau, Azay-le-Rideau, etc. Other visits include Chinon, where Joan of Arc recognized the future king of France, Charles VII, the Abbey of Fontevraud, as well as the homes of Ronsard, Balzac, and Leonardo da Vinci. There will be opportunities to taste the famous wines of Vouvray, Montlouis, Bourgueil and Chinon in local cellars. Visits are also organized to Versailles, Mont-Saint-Michel, Chartes Cathedral and La Rochelle. (Excursions, sports and evenings out are not included in the course fees.)
